UDC Global, LLC ("UDC") is the U.S. subsidiary of United Investment Company, B.V., a Netherlands-based real estate company. UDC has over $200 million in high-quality retail, residential and hospitality assets. UDC Global, LLC was formed in 2007 and is led by William W. "Biff" McGuire, CEO and Managing Partner. In 2007, UDC acquired N3 Real Estate, a nationally recognized retail real estate developer. UDC was formed by United Investment Company, B.V., which was founded by A.D.J.G. "Ton" van Dam in 1997. Mr. van Dam is a resident of the Netherlands and was the founding partner of Multi Development Company ("MDC"), a Dutch-based office building, shopping center and residential developer with operations throughout Europe. MDC was sold to Morgan Stanley in 2004, at which time MDC had approximately 2 billion euro in annual revenue. United Investment Company's first real estate investment in the United States was partnership interests in two entities which, in turn, owned the Tom Fazio-designed "Frog" golf course at The Georgian and the surrounding 2,000 acres of land designed as a planned residential community located just west of Atlanta, Georgia. In the years to follow, Mr. van Dam, through United Development Company, acquired exclusive ownership of the golf course and formed a joint venture with Cousins Properties to develop the residential land. To date, more than 300 homes have been sold at The Georgian. Subsequent to the sale of MDC to Morgan Stanley, Mr. van Dam expanded his U.S. real estate holdings by acquiring, through UDC, residential developments in Atlanta, Georgia, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as well as a controlling interest in N3 Real Estate, Ltd., a nationally recognized retail development company headquartered in Southlake, Texas.
